Facebook Ad Account Disabled? 7 Reasons Why & How To Fix?

I am not a big fan of ad accounts being disabled for unknown reasons, which absolutely makes no sense!

Now, I perfectly align with the emotion you are reading in this article: frustration and a bit of tension. Since a lot of businesses are dependent on ads and ad accounts getting disabled, it could really sound like things have taken a twist!

Well, you don’t have to worry anymore this article will give you a thorough guide on how you can enable your ad account and what are the major reasons it could have been suspended.

Let’s begin, shall we?

In order to get deep into this, first let’s understand:

Why Do Facebook Ad Accounts Get Banned?

Now, you certainly have read the reasons Facebook has already listed where it talks about why ad accounts get banned or privacy violations for ads, so I will not talk more about that.

I have been into digital marketing for over 6 years now, and let me tell you some other major reasons why your ad account gets banned.

1. Multiple Payment Failures

I have seen this with a lot of ad accounts. Suppose, you want to add some funds to your ad manager but there are multiple failures while making the payment. Facebook suspects it as spam or malicious activity and could ban your account.

This is not the only reason, suppose your ad account gets out of funds and now it's trying to add funds automatically and sees multiple failures while completing the payment, this could also play a major role.

How To Fix This?

I suggest using a credit card so there are no failures while making payments, and if you don’t have a credit card you can always keep a check on funds and add funds immediately when the bar is low!

2. Not Informing Facebook Who Are You?

This is important! A lot of people just focus on getting leads and sales for their business as soon as they have an ad manager account.

Do you know what happens here? You haven’t even informed Meta who are you? Where do you come from? What do you want to do? If you don’t inform Meta enough about your business, there are great chances that Facebook might not consider your business trustworthy and ultimately ban your account.

How To Fix This?

There are a few methods you can fix this. First of all, You need to make sure that you feed Meta enough information about your business, like adding some of your audience data or just running awareness ads so that Meta finds you trustworthy.

3. Verifying Your Business

You might have read the Facebook ads privacy violation blog, and the most important part it tells you to do is to verify your business on Meta Business Manager.

This is majorly because Facebook needs to understand where your business comes from, and whether it is an authentic business in your country or not.

So if your business is registered, you need to make sure to verify your business on Ads Manager so that you don’t face any kind of problem.

4. Using Multiple Locations

Now I totally understand that if you are running a business, you might log in to your ad manager from different locations, and there’s also a possibility that you have given your teammates or someone else access to your ad manager.

I have seen this problem in few of my clients' accounts if you are logging in to your ad manager from multiple locations at a time, there are great chance that Facebook will consider it as malicious activity and ultimately ban your account.

How To Fix This?

What we did to fix this problem was if we were giving access to anyone else of our managers, we made sure that we didn’t give them the ID password of the ad manager.

There is a setting where you can give specific access like admin or just viewing to someone, and we did exactly that so that Facebook doesn’t see us logging in with the same password in different locations.

This will help you a lot!

5. Negative Reviews

I totally understand that you are very dedicated towards your business, but there are a lot of times that in order to get a conversion, we mislead our audience what is the result? Your ad account gets banned.

Hear me out, suppose you are running a T-shirt ad, where you have mentioned a 599 price on the ad and if someone visits your website, the price is actually 1299 which is considered misleading.

there is a great chance that your audience will give you a lot of negative feedback, and if, Facebook, detects huge feedback, which is negative on your ad, There is no reason that it might not ban you.

How To Fix This?

Just don’t mislead! Keep it real and authentic.

I also suggest you read the Facebook policy violation of ads. If you haven’t yet, it will clear all your doubts and also you should watch the video. I am attaching below which is dedicated to how your ad accounts get banned. It will give you a deeper insight.

How To Retrieve Your Banned Ad Account?

Do you know what’s the most frustrating thing in the world? It’s getting your ad account banned even if you have not done anything like not violating any kind of policies or doing any malicious activity on your ad manager, what will you do then?

To be very honest, if you have not done anything on your ad manager, and if it still gets banned, here’s the exact pathway on how to enable your ad account.

1. The first and foremost thing you will see is that whenever your account is banned, you will see Facebook gives you the option to fill up a form and let Facebook know that you haven’t done anything and you need your account back.

2. See sometimes what happens meta does not exactly or we can say accurately detect what’s wrong with your account. The reason is simple, Meta has an AI that detects all of that. Now your foremost goal should be to inform Facebook that you have not done anything.

So, you simply need to fill up that form and inform Facebook with all the details in depth that you have not done anything, and Facebook should enable your account again.

And if you seriously haven’t done anything, you will get your ad account back within 10 to 15 days. We applied the same process in our multiple clients Ad account, and we have always managed to get their account back, so if you’re innocent, you don’t have to worry at all.

And if you are still stuck in getting leads or sales for your business through Facebook ads, I created a master Facebook ads, e-book that will clear all your doubts. If you are interested, you can purchase it from below.
